Low Thyroid Symptoms Can Affect Your Heart

Dr. Broda Barnes is one of my medical heroes.

He was a physician who treated over 3000 patients in Colorado going against the conventional wisdom on thyroid treatment.

Dr. Barnes published books and publicized the results.

And out of 3000 patients who had heart disease and thyroid problems, not one single patient died from heart problems.

No heart attacks.

No problems with cholesterol.

But rather than doctors following Doctor Burns’ example, they all responded to the giant pharmaceutical corporations advertising.

They began prescribing horrible drugs like statins.

However, many studies show Doctor Barnes was exactly right.

This quote actually says a mouthful — I will explain it below:

The hypothyroid state, and in particular a low triiodothyronine level, has been associated with a reduced cardiac performance and poor prognosis in Heart Failure, even in the presence of normal thyroid-stimulating hormone levels

Heart failure, or congestive heart failure, is very common and results in declining health for millions of men.

It turns out that low thyroid levels, especially low T3, have an association with lower heart performance.

These are low thyroid symptoms as much as issues on their own.

They have an association with a higher incidence of congestive heart failure.

Dr. Barnes found that low T3 levels were associated with the greater likelihood of getting a heart attack, and with cholesterol problems.

However today, doctors commonly prescribe only T4.

They tell you that your body will create T3 from the T4.

However, many studies show that doctors are wrong about this.

You need to have T3 which is the active thyroid hormone.

T3 can save your heart and can help reverse congestive heart failure.

T4 will not do that at all.

Having T4 without T3 can actually cause harm.

And it really won’t fix the underlying thyroid issue.

Many men suffer from a higher incidence of heart problems, stroke, congestive heart failure, blood pressure problems, and high cholesterol levels.

But they are actually suffering from the effects of low thyroid.

If they receive correct treatment for low thyroid, many of these problems will resolve themselves.

These men can lead a healthy life without taking any medical drugs whatsoever.
