45-Second Activity Burns Fat, Fixes Erection Problems…

Unfortunately, it’s not unusual for men who are overweight to experience sexual problems.

It’s not because of some character flaw or lack of willpower (though that is what we often blame weight gain on).

Obesity and erectile dysfunction are linked because they often have the same root cause!

“Almost two-thirds – 65% – of obese people in the treatment group reported significant sexual problems…”

ED and obesity are linked largely because the same things that cause metabolic syndrome and weight gain also cause body-wide inflammation and systemic health issues…

And that includes issues ED, delayed ejaculation, and premature ejaculation.

This often has to do with the stuff we put into our bodies (more on that in a bit).

“Hormonal changes, a drop in sexual functioning, and less satisfaction in bed are among the many downsides of obesity.”

I know it may seem strange that these sexual issues all have the same cause, but that’s often the reality.

Being overweight or obese is a symptom of another problem – it’s not the problem itself.

“Obese men, in particular, are known to experience lower testosterone levels, lower sexual satisfaction, and reduced fertility compared to men of normal weight.”

[cmamad id=”19863″ align=”center” tabid=”display-desktop” mobid=”display-desktop” stg=””]

It comes as no surprise then, that a “solution” for obesity – bariatric surgery – has been shown to raise testosterone levels in men.

Studies like this are interesting… But they do make me a little bonkers.

They treat being overweight and the metabolic conditions that cause obesity as issues that can be fixed without treating the underlying problems…

…the problems that cause the metabolic problems in the first place.

And this often leads to frustration and bad results.

This article is sort of about bariatric surgery, so I need to be up front…

I’m not a big fan of bariatric surgery in most circumstances.

This surgery has some really nasty side effects – such as nutritional malabsorption and insufficient uptake of nutrients into the body.

“This may be because any positive hormonal changes after bariatric surgery are counterbalanced by nutritional malabsorption and insufficiencies…”

BUT… even though I don’t think bariatric surgery is a good idea, there is something I find compelling about this study.

Men who had bariatric surgery (or lost weight from it) ended up producing more testosterone – and their feminizing hormones went down.

Lee and his colleagues found that patients’ testosterone levels significantly increased after they had undergone bariatric surgery. Consistent with an increase in testosterone, levels of the hormones LH, FSH, and SHBG were also boosted. The amount of the female sex hormones estradiol and prolactin also notably dropped.”

Because of this change in their hormones, men experience better sexual performance after bariatric surgery.

It’s a remarkable result.

“These hormonal changes meant that penile function also significantly increased after bariatric surgery.”

Yeah, this all sounds amazing…

But before you go out and schedule bariatric surgery, it’s important to think about the “why” of how this works.

Men who had bariatric surgery lost weight overall.

I think that the weight loss (rather than the surgery that caused it) is the cause of the increase in testosterone and sexual function.

Oh, no, I am not pretending that losing weight is easy or simple…

But there are safer and easier ways than bariatric surgery.

Get rid of the fad diets – like loading up with tons of fat or eating only veggies and meat…

Get rid of the polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs)…

In these natural ways, you can start to reset your metabolism – losing weight will come more easily.

AND you’ll get the same beneficial hormonal changes.

Here’s why you need to get PUFAs out of your life: They cause massive internal inflammation. And that screws up nearly every process in your body.

(PUFAs are things like corn oil, fish oil, canola oil, and soy oil.)

We’ve seen many men in our programs take a holistic approach, lose weight, AND get their sexual function back.

I can’t guarantee results, but I can tell you it’s pretty common and less drastic than surgery.

In my opinion, it’s important to be smart about how you tackle the underlying issues that cause both weight gain and sexual problems…

You will get far better results in the end.
