Beware this supposedly ‘good for you’ supplement that slows muscle growth

This is what they’re not telling men about this popular dietary supplement…

Story-At-a-Glance

Matt Cook here, and there’s one supplement that’s being pushed by dieticians and “health gurus” everywhere…

But this supplement is BAD for men.

It increases fat production and slows muscle growth while lowering metabolic rate.

So please, check your supplements — are you taking this?

These monks had astounding muscles with no workouts

The National Library of Medicine is calling this ancient forgotten monk movement “the lost exercise.”

Yes it’s true: this forgotten movement has been secretly used by Shaolin Monks and legendary martial artists…

In fact, this movement is so powerful that it even restores broken bones and soothes joint pain…

It is the BEST movement you can do for your joints, brain, and heart according to a recent study published in the International Journal of Medical Science

Beware this supposedly ‘good for you’ supplement that slows muscle growth

Many people have been advised to take fish oil supplements.

In particular, pregnant women and people with cardiovascular problems have been urged to consume more of this highly unsaturated fat.

But there are problems with this supplement.

For one, babies born to women taking fish oil (omega 3) have slower growth and present problems related to brain development.

“Excessive omega-3 fatty acids supplement during pregnancy caused side effects such as slower neural transmission times and postnatal growth restriction.”

Researchers investigating this problem found many more issues with fish oil.

Fish oil slowed the development of muscle cells, muscle tissue, and cellular energy production.

Instead, fish-oil-laden cells switched to producing fat!

The lab experiments were carried out at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. The results were published in Frontiers in Nutrition.

Neurons are nerve cells specific to the brain.

They send electrochemical signals from one to the other.

The faster neurons can send these signals the more efficient your brain works.

The process is called neurotransmission.

Children of mothers who supplemented with a lot of fish oil have slower brains due to slower neurotransmission times.

“Previous research showed that omega-3 fatty acids supplement during pregnancy caused side effects such as slower neural transmission times.”

Growth rates of children are followed closely as a good guide to their general development.

Children of mothers who have taken a lot of fish oil grow much more slowly.

“Excessive omega-3 fatty acid supplements during pregnancy cause postnatal growth restriction.”

There is a very long list of problems caused by fish oil supplementation — but those were the issues which motivated this research.

The researchers wanted to find out if fish oil really could have produced these effects in the children.

So they carried out a number of lab experiments in cells and in lab grown muscle tissue.

They exposed these biological materials to some of the fats contained in fish oil.

The research used pure omega-3 fatty acids — EPA and DHA. People are told to take fish oil in order to get more of these fats.

Fish oil omega 3 fats slowed the growth of muscle fibres (myotubes).

“Cells treated with fatty acids had fewer myotubes formed compared with control cells.”

The fats also altered genes which control the production of muscle (myogenesis).

“The expression of the genes related to myogenesis was significantly lower in cells treated with fatty acids, compared with control cells.”

This could explain the restricted growth of children born to mothers who took a lot of fish oil.

Fish oil literally changed the genes to downregulate muscle production.

The fats also affected the production of body fat (adipogenesis).

While muscle production went down — fat production increased with fish oil.

“Genes associated with adipogenesis had higher expression after treatment with fatty acids.”

Fish oils also have a negative effect on energy production.

All the energy in the body is produced in tiny machines called mitochondria.

Mitochondria don’t live long — the body has to replenish them rapidly.

The production of new, energy-producing mitochondria is called mitochondrial biogenesis.

Fish oil blunted the production of new mitochondria.

“Mitochondrial biogenesis decreased with lower gene expression in cells treated with fatty acids compared with control cells.”

Fish oil lowers energy and creates a skinny-fat body!

Not to mention the slower brain processing found in children of women who supplemented with fish oil.

The omega-3 fats directly lowered the metabolic rate — this is the single most important factor for health.

Energetic metabolism determines not only how much energy you feel you have, but how much energy your body has to repair itself.

Too little energy means you develop disease from lack of proper repair.

“Fatty acids may also decrease cell metabolism by reducing mitochondrial biogenesis as well as respiration rate.”

Of course this high-fat, low muscle state also predisposes to diabetes and obesity.

“Maternal overdosage of fish oil may influence foetal muscle development, increase muscle fat deposition, and have a long-term effect on the development of metabolic diseases such as obesity and diabetes in adult offspring.”

You can be certain that the risks of fish oil are not limited to children of mothers who have taken the supplement.

These problems also happen in adults who take fish oil themselves.

New discovery: energizing compound activates men downstairs

Colorado doctors’ energizing compound supercharges the mitochondria located inside your cells, all 75 trillion of them.

For those over 50, increasing energy at the cellular level can have a breath-taking effect.

Along with an abundance of newfound energy, users also report a sharper,  more focused mind and memory, and even younger-looking skin and hair…

…and especially a huge improvement in “rockiness” down there:
