Why Eating That Steak Can Actually LOWER Your Blood Pressure

Limit pork, beef, lamb in your diet – otherwise you are going to DIE, DIE, DIE.

This is the dumb advice that we’ve been getting from the medical establishment (mostly controlled by Big Pharma) for 20+ years, because it’s supposed to help lower the risk of heart disease and lower blood pressure.

The problem with this advice?

It doesn’t work.

It’s just a bunch of made up malarky that makes you feel hungry and completely unsatisfied with your food. Which makes you eat more and gain weight. Which leads to health issues like high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes.

It’s almost like Big Pharma WANTS to keep you sick. It sure seems that way sometimes. And it makes me so MAD.

But what if I told you that….

Eating Red Meat (beef, pork, & lamb) is actually beneficial to your health.

“Red meat is a nutrient-rich food, not only as a source for protein but also bioavailable iron.”

Would you be happy to eat steak again? Hamburgers? How about a lamb chop?

I know that when I figured this out, I was so happy to eat lamb and steak again. It tasted SO good.

Here’s the Proof

A new review of clinical trials by Purdue University has found that eating unprocessed red meat does NOT increase the risk of blood pressure AND gives you important nutrients that are hard to come by otherwise.

“The recommendations to limit red meat from the diet come mainly from studies that look at the dietary habits of people with cardiovascular disease.

Although these studies showed these people typically ate red meat, they were not designed to show that red meat caused cardiovascular disease.”

So we’ve been told for decades not to eat red meat because of association – not causation. One thing really never had anything to do with the other!

Talk about irresponsible.

But then, what the heck do you eat?

The Real Truth About Fat – And How To Save Yourself A Lot of Pain and Heartache

Red meat contains saturated fats (I’ll get back to that in a minute).

But what most people eat are polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs), because we’ve all been told over and over to avoid saturated fats like the plague. In fact, the consumption of PUFAs is at an all time high right now.

And so we load up our foods with canola, corn, soy and other vegetable oils – thinking that this will be healthy and smart.

But here’s the problem.

Fats from vegetable oils that are supposed to be healthy actually depress metabolism and increase the rate of aging.

And when your metabolism is depressed, it becomes super easy to gain weight and to get really high blood pressure. But the Big Agriculture money is in these oils, and so we keep getting told to consume them, even though they are making us very, very sick.

This is not right.

Fats from red meat “saturated fats” have the opposite effect. They have been shown to restore useful vigor.

I’m not going to tell you to eat a high-fat diet, generally speaking that’s not a great idea. Fats are very calorie intense and when you eat too much of them it’s easy to gain weight.

What I am going to tell you to do is to get rid of every bit of PUFA you can in your eating habits. Because they’re terrible for you. They are making you sick.

Get rid of:

  • Corn oil
  • Canola oil
  • Soy oil
  • Other vegetable oil
  • Store bought salad dressing
  • Pastries, cakes, cookies, crackers made with oil and not butter

And replace it with a moderate amount of saturated fat from

  • Red meat
  • Coconut oil
  • Olive oil in moderation

This is probably the most important thing you can do for your health right now. Click here for more info on PUFAs

(and remember I am not a doctor, so if you are on a special diet, please get the advice of your doctor before changing)

I know this seems counter-intuitive, but the studies and real life bear it out.

There is an interesting study with rats where the researchers give rats fully saturated oils (in other words saturated fats) and the results are remarkable.

Supplementation Completely Restored The Activity Of Respiratory Processes to 80% of the Value Observed in the Muscles of Young Animals.

So in these rats, eating saturated fats (like the kind found in red meat) actually restored their youthfulness.

How about that?

Humans Have Historically Eaten Saturated Fat

This goes directly along the lines of how humans have always eaten (until the last 50 years or so). And makes a lot of sense considering the findings of this study.

I know this guy Doug – who is now 98 years old. He has eaten (his entire life) real butter, sausages, red meat, and super well cooked potatoes. He also eats lots of pie with crusts made of lard.

And he is still up and walking, doing crosswords, and cryptograms. He was putting a new roof on his house in his 80s. Amazing. I think it’s because of the lack of PUFAs in his diet..

So if you want to stay healthy, consider putting some steaks back in your diet. But more importantly get rid of the PUFAs.

Seriously, throw them all away.
