Pain-triggering ingredient lurking in men’s kitchen

PUFA fats are terrible for human health.

I talk about PUFA fats a lot and how bad they are.

But Big Pharma and Big Agriculture tell us that these polyunsaturated fatty acids are good for us and what we SHOULD be eating.

These are fats that are found in seeds and nuts. They are usually marketed as vegetable oils.

My research tells me that this recommendation for PUFA fats is based on a fraudulent study…

…plus lots of profit from creating fats from seed oils that would otherwise be thrown away.

In my opinion it’s a very successful racket that is making us sick and causing very real physical pain.

In a study from North Carolina State University, researchers connected the dots between PUFA fats…

…and pain and temperature sensitivity in patients with psoriasis plaques.

They specifically pinpoint linoleic acid, which is a component of PUFA fats.

Linoleic acid is a fatty acid found in vegetable oils, nuts and seeds, and is one of the predominant fatty acids found in the Western diet. Metabolites from linoleic acid — the products formed when the body breaks it down through digestion — play a role in skin barrier function.

Even if you don’t have psoriasis, you should pay attention to this article, because it shows exactly why PUFA fats are so dangerous for human health.

The researchers used mass spectrometry to look closely at the psoriatic lesions.

What they found was that the linoleic acid (a component of PUFA fats) binds to the sensory neurons and causes hypersensitivity to pain and temperature.

They also found that once the lipids bind to the neuronal receptor, they activate the neurons expressing TRPA1 and TRPV1 receptors that are involved in temperature and pain hypersensitivity, opening communications channels to the central nervous system.

I want to be clear about what’s happening with these PUFA fats.

They are making an inflammatory disease worse by causing more pain and more temperature sensitivity than would otherwise occur!

And this isn’t the only research to link pain and PUFA fats.

A study published in Nature shows that PUFA fats can also make chronic pain associated with neuropathy worse.

Additionally, ω-6 PUFA accumulation exacerbates allodynia observed in preclinical inflammatory and neuropathic pain models and is strongly correlated with multiple pain indices of clinical diabetic neuropathy. Collectively, these data reveal dietary enrichment with ω-6 PUFAs as a new etiology of peripheral neuropathy and risk factor for chronic pain and implicate multiple therapeutic considerations for clinical pain management.

In another study, high blood levels of PUFA fats are shown to make chronic pain of all types worse.

blood levels of omega-6 unsaturated fatty acids are increased in patients with chronic pain and thus exacerbate pain.

If you have chronic pain, your doctor isn’t likely to go over your eating habits with you…

…and they aren’t likely to know the connection between vegetable oils and chronic pain.

Instead, they will usually give you a painkiller – most of which have significant side effects or possibility of addiction.

I take a very different approach to my health.

Instead of focusing on symptoms and trying to JUST fix the symptom, I focus on the causes of the problems.

What I’ve found is that if you can fix the cause then you can often fix the symptoms – without lots of negative side effects.
