Using caffeine this way can help grow hair
Hair loss is a common problem for many men these days…
… but did you know that it can also be a sign of underlying health issues?
That’s right, hair loss is not just a cosmetic issue.
It is mostly a sign of a systemic health issue.
However, the good news is that hair loss can be prevented and even reversed with a healthy metabolism and…
… a couple of other additions (which I’ll tell you… in a minute).
The key to preventing hair loss lies in our metabolism.
By following my recommendations, you can fire up your metabolism again – as you were in your teens.
- No PUFAs
- Pro-thyroid diet
- Calcium/Phosphorus ratio
- Low-stress lifestyle
- Exercising
- Quality Supplements
I talk about these all the time – but they should be repeated constantly because they are the baseline of a healthy metabolism.
Now let’s get to other “additions” that I’ve mentioned in the beginning.
Topical treatments.
The most common one is minoxidil.
However, they don’t tell you it’s detrimental to your sexual health.
Topical minoxidil goes systemic and reduces DHT – a crucial hormone for men.
You know what reduced DHT levels lead to?
- Poor rockiness.
- Low libido
- Complete lack of desire for life
- Depression
And tons of other nasty side effects that we absolutely don’t want.
We want other topical treatments that are effective AND safe.
Caffeine is one of them.
Let’s see today’s study.
This study was conducted at St. John Medical College and Hospital. It was published in Skin Pharmacology and Physiology.
The researchers compared 2 different treatments for male-pattern baldness – a caffeine solution and minoxidil.
They recruited 210 male participants for the study.
The study lasted for 6 months.
They looked at hair samples from the participants’ scalps at the beginning of the study and then again after 6 months.
They counted how many hairs were in a growth phase called anagen and how many were in a resting phase called telogen.
The researchers found that both treatments effectively increased the proportion of hairs in the growth phase.
The minoxidil group had an average increase of 11.68%, while the caffeine group had an average increase of 10.59%.
“At 6 months, the group of the 5% minoxidil solution showed a mean improvement in anagen ratio of the trichogram of 11.68%, and the group of the 0.2% caffeine solution had an anagen improvement of 10.59%.”
When they compared the results of the 2 groups…
…they found that the difference was minimal – only 1.09%.
“The difference of mean values between both groups was 1.09%.”
This means that the caffeine-based liquid was as effective as minoxidil.
“The statistical analysis was performed and reported in accordance with the CONSORT Guidelines 2010 for reporting of noninferiority and equivalence randomized trials.”
“A caffeine-based topical liquid should be considered as not inferior to minoxidil 5% solution in men with androgenetic alopecia.”
But with a distinct difference – without any side effects!
It’s very easy to prepare the caffeine solution.
Just add caffeine powder (open up capsules) to water, and it’s done.
Then spray it on your scalp.
If you want to increase the efficacy, add niacinamide and aspirin to this solution as well.
The results will be even better.
