If there’s one thing that the mainstream media wants to scare away the most, it’s…

sun exposure.

I can’t remember how many times I have seen in the news headlines like “sun gives you cancer” and “don’t go out in the sun.”

Or something like, “put sunscreen on even if there’s no sun outside.”

Do you see how comical that is?

Sun is the source of life.

And to fear it is utterly ABSURD.

I won’t even get into wearing chemical-laden sunscreen.

Let’s look at how sun exposure has protected people from one of the most severe diseases in history.

Cancer.

This meta-analysis was conducted at Queen’s University. It was published in Environmental Health Perspectives.

The researchers analyzed hundreds of scientific papers and looked for the correlation between sun exposure and breast cancer incidence.

They found a significant correlation between sun exposure and a LOWER risk of cancer.

People who spent 1 hour a day in the sun had less cancer than people who spent less.

“We observed a decreased risk of breast cancer for individuals spending≥1h=d in the sun during summer months over a lifetime or usual adulthood compared with <1 h=d.”

When this increased from 1 hour to 2 or more, the risk did not increase at all.

“Spending ≥2h=d in the sun had a similar protective effect as 1 to <2 h=d when compared with <1 h=d.”

Sun exposure has long been a topic of controversy when it comes to cancer risk.

There are several ways in which sun exposure may help to reduce the risk of cancer.

One of the most well-known is through the production of vitamin D.

When our skin is exposed to the sun’s UVB rays, it stimulates the production of vitamin D.

Vitamin D also has anti-inflammatory properties and has been shown to have a protective effect against certain types of cancer, including breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer.

Another way in which sun exposure may help to reduce cancer risk is through its effects on the immune system.

Sunlight has been shown to boost the production of certain immune cells, such as T cells and natural killer cells, which are important for fighting off infections and cancer.

Additionally, sunlight has been shown to have a beneficial effect on the gut microbiome.

Sun exposure is something that has been in our lives since the beginning of humanity.

And we literally evolved with it.

This review proved that it even plays a BIG role in preventing cancer.

“Using previously published literature, this study observed a protective effect of time spent in the sun on breast cancer risk for exposure during usual adulthood and adolescence.

Don’t be afraid of the sun; just approach it strategically.

And here’s how you can do that:

  • A diet low in PUFAs (which will be a big factor in protecting you from sunburn)
  • Create a “solar callus” (get more morning sunlight and increase your sun exposure gradually to create resistant skin)
  • A diet rich in vitamins A, E, C, and B3

These 3 strategic tactics will make you more resistant to the sun.

And it will be for you to reap the benefits.
