The Big Sugar lie

In 1939, men were eating a whopping 3500 calories a day and only weighed 150 lbs…

Families were eating 4 pounds of sugar a week…

Yet less than 10% of people were obese vs 40% today!

Our metabolism has been poisoned…

We’ve been told that sugar is bad for us… that it makes us fat…

But what if I tell you that’s actually a big giant lie?

And that men who eat sugar, BURN sugar — which is a great thing for metabolism and health…

I’m explaining it all here — and showing you how easy it is to kick start your body into burning sugar again (which can add decades to your life)

This 1 common oil is destroying men’s livers

Matt Cook here, and liver diseases are increasingly common problems that are mostly attributed to type II diabetes.

These liver diseases include non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.

These liver conditions are a mystery to many people…

…and there is a common myth that if a liver problem is not caused by alcohol, then it must be caused by sugar.

While there are a number of nutrients which accelerate liver disease, sugar is generally not one of them.

In fact, numerous studies have shown that supplemental fish oil may be a major trigger for non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases.

The animal research was carried out at The University of Florence in Italy. The paper was published in Liver International.

Fish oils contain a type of fat called omega-3 PUFA. These fats are marketed as anti-inflammatory and heart healthy.

But that is a misreading of the research… When you look a little closer at the effects of these fats you can see the damage they cause.

These researchers believed that fish oils could help to cure fatty liver disease.

And they wanted to learn more about their effects on inflammation and fibrosis in the liver.

Fibrosis is the buildup of weblike scar tissue that occurs when organs are inflamed.

“Omega-3 fats ameliorate fatty liver in experimental models, but their effects on inflammation and fibrosis during steatohepatitis are either controversial or lacking.”

Steatohepatitis is a type of fatty liver disease characterized by inflammation and fat accumulation in the liver.

“We compared the effects of supplementation with olive oil alone or olive oil and omega-3 PUFA on the development of steatohepatitis.”

The researchers carried out their experiments on mice which were put on special diets for 1-2 months.

“Mice were fed a methionine- and choline-deficient (MCD) diet or a control diet for 4 or 8 weeks.”

Methionine and choline are dietary nutrients that can help to minimize steatohepatitis.

(I would not recommend supplementing these nutrients – especially methionine – but that is a topic for another time)

The mice were split into groups and some were given a little olive oil, while others were given fats from fish oils with their olive oil.

“Mice were supplemented with omega-3 (EPA and DHA with olive oil), or olive alone twice per a week.”

The researchers found that the animals given fish oil fats had higher liver enzymes – a sign of liver problems in these animals.

“Mice on omega-3 diets had higher ALT levels.”

The researchers found that these allegedly healthy fats led to increased inflammation and lipogranulomas.

“Mice receiving omega-3 had more severe scores of inflammation, including a significant increase in the number of lipogranulomas.”

Lipogranulomas are inflamed soft tissue reactions consisting of fats and oils. Not a good sign.

The researchers looked at biochemical markers of inflammation.

Signs of liver inflammation were higher in the animals given the supplemental omega-3s.

“Liver expression of TNF-α and CCL2 was higher in omega-3 mice at both time points.”

(TNF-α and CCL2 are inflammatory proteins which are elevated in liver disease.)

Then they looked at proteins (TIMP-1 and TGF-β) which are associated with fibrosis.

Fibrosis is the weblike scar tissue that builds up in diseased livers.

Again, the researchers saw clear signs of increased fibrosis and liver disease.

“In addition, increased expression of the profibrogenic genes TIMP-1 and TGF-β were evident.”

When they took a look at the livers of the animals they saw their physical hallmarks of fibrosis.

“Omega-3 supplemented mice had more severe histological scores of fibrosis.”

The portal vein carries blood from the digestive system to deliver.

Portal blood pressure generally increases in liver disease.

The researchers found a significant increase in portal blood pressure in mice fed fish oil fats.

“After 8 weeks of MCD diet, portal blood pressure was higher in mice receiving omega-3 than in those on olive oil alone.”

When the researchers looked inside the livers of the animals they found a build up of the omega-3 fats coming from the diet.

“Analysis of hepatic fatty acid profile showed that supplementation resulted in effective incorporation of omega-3 PUFA.”

All this goes to show yet again the dangers of omega-3 fatty acids – the polyunsaturated fats found in fish oils.

“Supplementation with omega-3 PUFA is associated with more severe liver inflammation and fibrosis than in mice treated with olive oil only.”

This is why I say again and again that people should be very careful about the consumption of fish oils and other polyunsaturated fatty acids like those in vegetable oils.

Remember: the liver is the heaviest single organ in the body…

It has to process the food we eat and environmental toxins — plus the liver has thousands of other tasks that keep us alive.

When the liver gets fatty and bogged down by toxins, it starts a cascade of health problems…

Men get sick more often, T levels plummet, even erections suffers!

So it’s important to give your liver a simple cleanse here and now to keep it functioning at full capacity.

And it will give your erections a big lift!

Here’s the simple liver detox for men
