These are the fats that cause kidney inflammation

Matt Cook here, and acute and chronic kidney disease are common problems caused by inflammation and decreased energy production in the kidneys.
Kidney problems lead to a buildup of toxins in the blood as well as problems with blood pressure and sodium retention.
Researchers have discovered that unstable dietary fats play a large role in kidney inflammation.
Reducing the consumption of these fats could significantly lower the risk of kidney problems in future.
Decreasing the consumption of these unstable fats from vegetable and fish oils may also slow or reverse certain kidney problems.

The animal experiments were performed at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO. The paper was published in the Journal of Immunology.
The research focused on polyunsaturated fatty acids.
These are also called “essential fatty acids.”
There are fats found in large amounts in vegetable oils and fish oils.
And although they are called essential fatty acids – they’re not essential at all.
That idea was the bond many decades ago.
The researchers were looking at the effect of these fats on experimental kidney disease.
“Dietary polyunsaturated fatty acid modulation exerts a beneficial effect in immune-mediated glomerulonephritis.”
The researchers carried out experiments on rats which had experimentally triggered autoimmune kidney disease…
…which plays out similar to acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease.
The rats were split into different groups. Some of the rats were given a standard lab rat diet.
The other rats were given a diet which had no polyunsaturated fatty acids…
…or to put it another way — they were “deficient” in “essential fatty acids.”
Macrophages are a type of specialized white blood cell.
They have numerous jobs in the body and they can also attack the body when things go wrong.
During this type of kidney disease these white blood cells invade the functional tubes of the kidney.
But when animals were deficient in polyunsaturated fatty acids this immune system attack on the kidney was prevented.
“Essential fatty acid deficiency selectively prevented the influx of macrophages into the glomerulus.”
The researchers also discovered a massive increase in thromboxane and leukotriene B4.
These are inflammatory molecules which are made from one of the “essential fatty acids”.
Both of these inflammatory molecules are made from arachidonic acid which comes mainly from vegetable oils.
“The influx of leukocytes into the glomerulus during nephritis was accompanied by a marked increase (10- to 40-fold) in thromboxane and leukotriene B4 production”.
These inflammatory molecules are known to be involved in obesity, heart attacks and blood clots.
One of the reasons aspirin is so effective at decreasing the risk of cardiovascular deaths is because it decreases the production of thromboxane.
But as these inflammatory molecules are made from “essential fatty acids”…
…reducing the amount of essential fatty acids decreases the potential for these inflammatory molecules.
In animals with “essential fatty acid deficiency” there was no increase in these inflammatory molecules in the kidneys.
“Essential fatty acid deficiency largely attenuated this change.”
The attack on the kidneys leads to kidney dysfunction.
This can be seen by an increase in toxic proteins in the blood and urine – as well as an inability to filter excess sodium from the blood.
“Renal dysfunction was manifested as azotemia, polyuria, sodium retention, and proteinuria.”
But in animals which were given a diet without polyunsaturated fatty acids, there was no sign of kidney dysfunction.
“With essential fatty acid deficiency, polyuria, azotemia, and sodium retention were not seen.”
The increase in protein in the urine is a hallmark of kidney disease – but without these unstable fats in the diet this was almost entirely eliminated.
“Proteinuria was reduced by approximately 85%.”
Consuming a diet devoid of these polyunsaturated fats could prevent most of the potential damage to the kidneys caused by common kidney diseases.
Remember that the idea that these are “essential” fatty acids is entirely untrue.
“Essential fatty acid deficiency prevents the invasion of macrophages into the glomerulus in nephrotoxic nephritis and attenuates the accompanying metabolic and functional alterations.”
I have written about many, many diseases over the years which are triggered by the consumption of these polyunsaturated fatty acids.
In fact, a number of papers have even shown that these fatty acids are essential to the development of some cancers.
There is barely any disease that is not shown to be influenced by polyunsaturated fats.
These fats suppress energy production and serve as a pool of material…
…which can be turned into inflammatory molecules which can damage any part of the body.
You should always consult your healthcare practitioner for guidance on medical diagnosis and treatment.

1 single thing men are doing to live past 100 and have great sex everyday

I’ve found a hidden group of men in the Eastern Bloc who are living well past 100, even 115 and 120…
…AND having great sex.
Not just good sex, GREAT sex. As if they are men in their prime, in their 20s and 30s!
And I’ve identified one single thing these older men are doing (that I am now doing myself) that leads to a very long and sexy life…
