Looking good is now more important for men than ever before.

A good-looking, well-groomed face will help you in every moment of your life.

EVERY MOMENT.

The first place? The bedroom, of course — your partner will be very pleased.

Not to mention the self-confidence it gives.

So what is the most critical factor of a handsome face?

The skin of all things.

Smooth, wrinkle-free, and radiant skin increases your looks by at least 2-3 points (which means more sexy time).

The skincare industry has become a huge market.

Millions are spent on cosmetics.

But I’ll tell you a secret.

The beauty of the skin comes from the inside, not the outside.

The healthier you are on the inside, the healthier and better your skin and face will look.

So the first step is to increase your physical health.

Fortunately, as regular readers of this newsletter, you are way ahead of most people in this regard, that’s for sure.

What you need is an extra boost to make you look a few years younger.

The years, unfortunately, challenge the condition of the skin.

But there is a solution.

What is it?

Let’s take a look at today’s study.

This study was conducted at Sungkyunkwan University. It was published in Journal of Food and Nutrition Research.

This study was done in Korea, where healthy skin is a must.

Men and women in Korea are obsessed with better-looking skin.

So they put a lot of thought into it and come up with new methods.

The method in this study is collagen supplementation.

Collagen is a protein that makes up a large part of our skin, hair, nails, and joints.

As men age, their bodies naturally produce less collagen, leading to wrinkles, joint pain, and other signs of aging.

“Contrary to young skin, in aged skin, collagen degradation is accelerated, however, new synthesis is slowed down, resulting in the accumulation of collagen segments and weakened organization.”

“This reduces the dermal density, or skin thickness, in the dermis, which causes sagging and wrinkles, and reduces the ability to trap moisture, resulting in dry skin.”

Therefore, it is crucial to replace what has been lost.

To test whether that statement is true, the researchers designed an experiment with a group of middle-aged and older people.

They gave them collagen hydrolysate supplementation daily for 12 weeks.

Collagen hydrolysate (or peptides) is just a form of collagen broken down into smaller amino acids, making it easier to absorb.

At the end of 12 weeks, they measured changes in several skin factors – namely

  • Hydration
  • Facial Lifting
  • Dermal Density and Thickness
  • Skin Desquamation

The results were…

… good enough to prompt you to start supplementing collagen immediately.

  1. Collagen supplementation increased skin moisture.

“Water content values showed a statistically significant increase in the test group at.”

  1. It tightened and lifted the skin. (less wrinkles!)

“Compared to the placebo group, facial lifting showed significant improvement in the test group.”

  1. It increased skin thickness and endurance.

“The dermal density of the test group was increased significantly. The skin thickness values were significantly increased in the test group.”

  1. It reduced skin peeling (contributes to soft and smooth skin)

“The results of skin desquamation in the test group were significantly more decreased.”

In conclusion, start taking and/or eating more collagen.

You can do that by:

  • Taking collagen supplements
  • Drinking jelly bone broth (full of collagen),
  • Eating gelatinous cuts of meat such as oxtail.

Not only can it promote healthier skin, stronger hair and nails, and improved joint health, but it can also promote better joint and gut health.

It also contains stress-reducing amino acids like glycine and proline as well.

And we all know less stress leads to a more youthful appearance.

So, consider incorporating more collagen into your life if you want to look younger.
