The problem with prolactin — and what to do about it

Prolactin is a hormone that occurs in both men and women.

Prolactin is often overlooked, and it’s mostly known for its ability to trigger milk production in women.

But prolactin has numerous effects in men too — and they are not good.

Stress, low thyroid, and liver problems are common roads to high prolactin.

High prolactin leads to infertility, low testosterone, feminization, obesity, and depression….

…and is probably the#1 reason men get gynecomastia, or man boobs.

You don’t need to be older either: Human experiments have shown that high prolactin can cause low sex drive and erections problems even in supposedly healthy young men.

Prolactin is an overlooked hormone that deserves more attention.

Human experiment was carried out at the University of Essen in Germany. The paper was published in the Journal of Endocrinology.

For healthy guys, sex drive is at its lowest right after orgasm.

Orgasm triggers a massive spike in prolactin — and this seems to be one of the major reasons why sex drive drops at this time.

“The neuroendocrine response to sexual activity in humans is characterized by a pronounced orgasm-dependent increase of plasma levels of prolactin.”

Of course, other things happen hormonally and in the brain after an orgasm.

The researchers decided to test the effect of prolactin alone on sex drive and sexual function.

“This study was designed to investigate the effects of acute manipulation of plasma prolactin on sexual behavior.”

The researchers recruited healthy men for the study.

The men were put through numerous experiments which increased or decreased their prolactin levels.

“Prolactin levels were pharmacologically increased or reduced to low physiological concentrations. Sexual arousal and orgasm were then induced by an erotic film and masturbation.”

During the experiments the researchers tracked brain and heart recordings.

The men reported sex drive, how easily aroused they were, their ability to orgasm, and how long it took between periods of sexual activity.

Lowering prolactin with a treatment called cabergoline increased sex drive and sexual function in the men.

“Decreasing prolactin levels significantly enhanced all parameters of sexual drive, function and shortened the refractory period.”

The refractory period is the shortest period between orgasm and the next sexual activity. Or how long it takes to achieve another solid boner.

Next, the researchers added another treatment which increases prolactin alongside the treatment which decreases prolactin.

This experiment showed that the effects of the treatment was certainly due to altering prolactin levels.

The prolactin increasing treatment cancelled out the libido boost of cabergoline.

(Cabergoline lowers prolactin.)

“The sexual effects observed from cabergoline were completely abrogated by coadministration of a prolactin boosting ‘treatment.’”

The study showed that short-term alterations in prolactin levels has a massive effect on male sexual drive and on sexual performance.

“Acute changes in prolactin plasma levels may be one factor modulating sexual drive and function.”

Other studies have shown that constantly elevated prolactin levels also have a major negative effect on male sexuality.

“There are well-known inhibitory effects of chronic high prolactin on sexual drive and function.”

Chronic and short-term increases in prolactin lower libido and inhibit the ability to get rocky.

“Prolactin increase may represent one factor modulating central nervous system centers controlling sexual drive and behavior. These findings may offer a new pharmacological approach for the treatment of sexual disorders.”

Sexual problems caused by high prolactin can be triggered by a number of common stresses.

These stresses are often overlooked in modern health, leaving many men grasping at straws trying to figure out the source of their sexual woes.

—-Important Message for Men Looking to Lower Prolactin—-

This simple protocol lowers prolactin and estrogen while raising testosterone in men — comes with these incredible advantages:

  • Greatly enhances rockiness, libido, and sensation
  • Lessens the time between sex acts
  • Used daily can transform your health and make you feel and perform as you did when you were decades younger
  • Quick results — usually kicks in within 4 to 7 days

I’m calling it the PET Protocol (prolactin-estrogen-testosterone) and you can start using it for free right now
