Taurine raises testosterone and more

Wow, taurine might be the next miracle testosterone booster.  But then again, probably not because there is no money and selling taurine. Taurine is an amino acid, and there’s no real money selling amino acids.

But let’s talk about the study, shall we?

They gave a bunch of rats tarring. These rats were all different ages. In the bottom line is, that taurine was a huge booster of sperm motility and mail health. As the study concludes:

The present study demonstrated that a taurine supplement could stimulate the secretion of LH and T, increase the levels of testicular marker enzymes, elevate testicular antioxidation and improve sperm quality.

Bottom line: taurine supplementation increased the secretion of testosterone, protected the testicles against oxidation, and improve the quality of sperm.

Not bad for a day’s work. You might want to try some taurine, but before you do, you want to make sure that you work up to it because taurine can cause gastric upset.

Taurine could be very good for you. The heart muscle contains a ton of taurine. And as you may know, one of the problems with diabetes or just plain aging, is injury to our endothelial cells. These are the cells that make up the lining of our arteries, and the direction of machinery in our penis.

Fixes broken arteries?

In another study, two weeks of supplementing with taurine significantly helped the endothelial cells in type I diabetics. Stiffness in the arteries was

returned to control levels with 2 weeks taurine

And in another study, taurine lowered blood sugar on aged lab rats, and made them live longer.

And cats with heart disease survived longer and were healthier when they were given taurine.

Is there a danger to taking taurine?

Taurine seems to lower the chances of blood clots, “platelet aggregation”.

So if you’re taking any kind of blood thinners, or if you’re taking anything, you do want to talk to your doctor first, before taking taurine.

Taurine seems pretty safe though. It is definitely something that’s worth trying, once you’ve got the okay from your doctor.

Who knows, maybe it will increase your testosterone and improve your health.

1. Does taurine increase testosterone?
Taurine is actually made in the male reproductive system.  You make taurine in your prostate, you make taurine in your penis and you make taurine in your testicles. It turns out there is a good reason that men make so much taurine in their reproductive organs. It’s because taurine is necessary for the production of testosterone. A little taurine can increase testosterone production two. However, a little bit too much taurine can depress testosterone production. So you can supplement with taurine if you want but you want to be careful you don’t have to much. One of the original red bull cans contains 1000 mg of taurine. You can also get bags of taurine as it’s very inexpensive. And you can take it that way. Or you can eat shrimp as shrimp has a lot of taurine. It does seem to increase testosterone levels when you supplement with taurine provided you don’t use too much.

2. Is there a such a thing as a miracle testosterone pill?
Everybody is looking for a miracle testosterone pill. This pill would be super safe, and would raise testosterone levels, improve erections, and raise libido. However, I don’t think there is such a thing as a miracle testosterone pill. There are herbs that are supposedly important to raise testosterone. There are herbs such as maca, ashwagandha, and Panax ginseng for example which raise testosterone in some cases, at least a little. Many men are taking horny goat weed which is very trendy right now.  It is not clear if horny goat weed actually raises testosterone very much.Other men take extra zinc. They think that zinc raises testosterone, which it does, although zinc may not be safe in the long run because it can cause a copper deficiency.Basically, there really isn’t such a thing as a miracle testosterone pill. Good nutrition with smart supplementation can boost testosterone rates, sometimes doubling or tripling testosterone rates. Even aspirin can help increase testosterone. Quite a bit in some cases.

3. What is taurine fibrosis?
Taurine is an amino acid which is considered important for much of the body’s metabolic processes and is also known as an antioxidant. Naturally found in dairy products and meat, it is also found in supplement form. Taurine has also been found in low levels in certain plants and fungi, while it exists in a higher proportion in tissues of sea animals. Many consider Taurine as a wonder molecule as it is related to elevated sports performance and has a lower risk of disease. It also helps in stabilizing metabolism, especially in stabilizing cell membranes in the tissues of the brain and heart. According to some medical tests, taurine has been found to play a beneficial role in blocking the accumulation of collagen in lung fibrosis.Taurine has also been found to be beneficial when administered to individuals who are suffering from congestive heart failure. It has been found that especially in lung fibrosis, taurine helps in increasing the effect of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), and its ability to improve the nutritional needs of the body. In case of lung or cystic fibrosis, taurine is administered in the quantity of 18-22 milligrams per kilogram in combination with ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). But certain precautions must be taken when taking taurine with herbal or dietary supplements. Taurine has been found to lower blood sugar levels, so medical adjustments are considered necessary for the same. Some studies have also shown that Taurine might aid the ability of iron supplements to increase red blood cell count and serum ferritin. It can also be beneficial in lowering the blood pressure levels among individuals who may be suffering from borderline hypertension. Usually found in sports nutrition drinks, taurine has been found to improve exercise performance, especially when in combination with ingredients like caffeine and glucuronolactone, though deeper analysis on the same is warranted. Taurine, according to some studies has also been found beneficial among people who are suffering from diabetes.

4. Should you use taurine for ed?
Ed or erectile dysfunction is a condition which is usually found more prominently in people when they age. Especially, people above the age of 60 start showing signs of sexual issues like ed or erectile dysfunction and Taurine supplementation can be a possible answer to this problem. According to certain studies done on rats, taurine supplementation has been found to increase sexual response and increased the mating ability among rats. Not only is Taurine gaining much medical mileage as a beneficial molecule for cardiovascular health, but it also has been found important in regulating and lowering the blood pressure. Taurine not only boosts the skeletal and musculoskeletal health of the body, but boosts an increase in the general energy levels of the body. This when is related to the beneficial effects it can have on the male libido, taurine has been found to be a good to have supplement. Taurine supplementation for men, as they age can boost sexual libido and can thus aid in the sexual benefits for people who especially suffer from ed issues. Supplementation with taurine has been found to increase the testosterone levels in the body, especially for those whose testosterone levels are falling with age. Taurine works on the blood vessels and improves blood flow among the arteries which could be a healing factor for individuals who suffer from ed problems. Among men, maintaining erections and sexual orgasm are less intense due to brain, hormonal and vascular changes as they age. In addition to that, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension and diabetes can take a negative toll on the sexual libido and can lead to sexual issues. Taurine is considered to be the most abundant in the brain and thus any lowering of the natural taurine levels can cause health disorders, which can also be related to sexual health. A natural approach to increasing taurine levels in the body would be to increase the consumption of meat, fish and eggs as well as dairy products. The clinical dosage of essential taurine for the human body ( among adults) are 3 gms per day.
