Methylene blue — best and oldest natural treatment

They say that depression is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain.

That’s true, sort of.

I mean, it begs the question, what causes the chemical imbalance in the brain?

If you look at research on depression which analyses other symptoms you find that aside from feeling down, people with depression always have very low energy.

Depression and the associated change in brain hormones are the brain’s expression of lack of energy.

And a number of experiments have shown that energy boosting supplements are far more effective at treating depression than some common (risky) treatments.

This human research was carried out at University Department of Psychiatry, Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, and the Royal Dundee Liff Hospital in Dundee, Scotland.

The paper was published in Biological Psychiatry.

This research recruited 35 people suffering from severe depression. The participants were split into two different groups.

One group was given supplemental methylene blue. The other group received an inactive placebo.

Methylene blue is one of the oldest treatments. It is also commonly used as a dye in scientific research.

Methylene blue has many different effects on the body — one of the most important is boosting energy production in the cell.

The degree of depression was assessed by a questionnaire called the Hamilton rating scale — a standard in psychiatry.

“At the start of the trial, all patients had a score on the Hamilton Rating Scale greater than 18, there was no significant difference between the two groups on any rating.”

Higher scores on the Hamilton scale mean a more extreme form of depression. And scores above 18 points are classified as severe.

There were no changes in the placebo group over the course of the three week trial period.

“Patients who received placebo showed little or no evidence of improvement during the three-week period.”

But there was improvement in those taking supplemental methylene blue.

15mg of methylene blue per day for three weeks showed significant improvements in the Hamilton rating of depression.

“Patients receiving methylene blue showed marked improvement from day 7.”

The researchers saw great improvements on the Hamilton scale.

They also looked at a number of other questionnaires used to assess the degree of depression.

After three weeks of methylene blue there were significant improvements on every scale of depression used.

“Methylene blue showed marked improvement at day 14 on the Montgomery-Asberg Scale, and on all 4 scales by 2 1 days.”

Methylene blue helps cells to produce more energy — something which is deficient in people with depression.

This study found that a few drops of methylene blue could have a potent, mood boosting effect on people with bad depression.

“The results of this trial suggested 15 mg per day of methylene blue is a potent antidepressant and severely depressed female inpatients.”

Methylene blue is a relatively safe substance which has been used for well over 100 years.

For many decades it was the standard treatment for malaria and a number of other infectious diseases.

“Methylene blue may prove to be clinically useful, as in the dose used, it appears to have low toxicity, few side effects, and to be effective in severe depression.”

While methylene blue is remarkably safe on its own — it could cause reactions with other psychiatric treatments.

You should not take methylene blue unsupervised if you’ve been treated for depression or any other psychiatric issue.

The point here is to gesture towards the importance of improving energetic metabolism in depression.

Methylene blue is very effective at doing this.

But it can also be done using some diet, supplement, and lifestyle hacks.

“I got cheery and started doing things I hate to do — like cleaning the toilet!”

(Student gives me permission to share this amazing transformation with you)

My student, Robert, was taking a bunch of Big Pharma treatments that gave him side effects like low testosterone, low energy, and even erections problems.

He put on some weight and just felt like his whole body was shutting down…

Excitedly, I started telling Robert about something that has just been released — a secret natural anti-aging hormone for men…

It’s been kept secret from ordinary men like you and me for 50 years, but not anymore.

And now Robert is taking this natural anti-aging hormone and seeing fantastic results:

He says that he noticed an immediate change in his attitude — he was actually happy to clean the toilet!

And his testosterone levels went up, his depression lifted, and he’s going to the mall to scout out pretty young women… just like he used to do as a young man.

Here’s the natural anti-aging hormone I shared with Robert
