Matt Cook here, and our brains are incredibly powerful.

How we view the world and ourselves can have a huge impact on our health and wellbeing.

I’m not talking about what some “gurus” say about manifesting or anything like that…

I’m talking about real research that shows that if you feel young you are more likely to recover easily from physical setbacks.

To me, this is a huge motivation to continue my quest to live to 120.

Nothing makes you feel young like knowing that you have a lot of healthy years in front of you.

This research is from Bar-Ilan University in Israel and it shows that the saying “you are only as old as you feel” may very well be true.

It’s exciting because it puts control of your health under more of your control even after a major setback.

This study looked at 194 adult patients that had experienced fractures or stroke and were in rehabilitation centers.

These are folks who had an extensive period of recovery in front of them.

That kind of reality can throw most people for a loop.

What the researchers found confirmed what I’ve seen over and over in my work with thousands of men…

If you feel young and hopeful, then you will be more likely to recover faster from a health setback then if you feel old and worn out.

Patients who felt younger (had a younger subjective age) at hospital admission showed better functional independence at discharge approximately one month later.

The benefits around feeling younger extended to both fracture patients and stroke patients.

Optimism about being able to recover seemed to play a part in the overall results as well.

The beneficial effect of feeling younger was found both for patients who rehabilitated from osteoporotic fractures (mainly due to falls) and for those who rehabilitated from a stroke. The researchers also found that those who felt younger rehabilitated better because they were more optimistic about their chances of regaining their functional abilities.

It also didn’t matter how old the patient actually was, or what other health conditions they have.

The patients that had the youngest subjective age did the best with recovery regardless of other factors.

Surprisingly, subjective age was the strongest predictor of rehabilitation outcomes, stronger even than patients’ chronological age and multiple chronic health conditions occurring simultaneously (physical multimorbidity) at admission. Chronological age and physical multimorbidity are generally considered by health care practitioners in determining prognosis, whereas subjective age is unknown to most practitioners.

It just goes to show that the attitude we cultivate has a huge impact on health and wellbeing.

That’s one of the main reasons that I always encourage the men who take my Transformations to get started, even if getting started is completely imperfect.

Actually, imperfect is far better than perfect if you are taking action.

When men start to take control of their health like this, a remarkable thing happens…

They usually start feeling much better. They feel younger. They feel more optimistic.

All of these things lead to bigger gains and faster recoveries.

So, if you are facing health challenges or other life challenges right now, believing that you have power in your own life can really help.

It’s well worth cultivating the ability to feel young and optimistic.

These men in their 100s drink, smoke, and have intercourse like they’re 25

I’ve found a hidden group of men who are living well past 100, even 115 and 120… AND having great sex.

Not just good sex, GREAT sex.

As if they are men in their prime, in their 20s and 30s! And doing it with women who are in their 20s and 30s!

I’ve identified one single thing these older men are doing (that I am now doing myself) that leads to a very long and sexy life.

Keep in mind, these men routinely smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, and eat what they want.

Here’s the amazing discovery that lets these men live to 115 or 120 or more and still “do it” with their wives or girlfriends.
