Buyer Beware: rushing to try these could be deadly
Matt Cook here, and my colleague Heather — her mom used to work at a firm that processed class action lawsuits for Big Pharma treatments gone bad.
The stories were horrific, and the lack of responsibility taken by Big Pharma was just as bad.
Sometimes these cases would take years and years in court in order to get settlements for the people harmed or for the families of those who had been killed.
Now don’t get me wrong, pharmaceuticals can be lifesaving when thoroughly tested and prescribed appropriately.
But…
The regulatory agencies that are supposed to be making sure that your treatments are safe and tested aren’t doing their jobs very well.
The FDA is pushing through more and more treatments without proof that they work, and sometimes these do a great deal of harm. That should make you mad. It infuriates me!
It’s important to be aware of how EXACTLY the system works so that you don’t end up getting caught in the profit trap with the pharmaceuticals you take.
Treatments gone bad
Some of the stories show such a blatant disregard for human health in order to make profits that it’s disgusting.
In one case, a treatment for hallucinations that are associated with Parkinson’s disease failed two different clinical trials…
…and then kind of sort of passed the third.
And it was approved anyway.
And people died and had serious side effects because of it.
Nuplazid for hallucinations and delusions associated with Parkinson’s disease, failed two clinical trials. In a third trial, under a revised standard for measuring its effect, it showed minimal benefit. Overall, more patients died or had serious side effects on Nuplazid than after receiving no treatment.
Another treatment for gout showed in clinical trials that people who were on it had an increased rate of heart attacks and strokes…
Compared to those with absolutely no medication or who were taking the standard gout treatment.
This treatment was also approved. And the aftermath was terrible.
Patients on Uloric for gout suffered more heart attacks, strokes and heart failure in two out of three trials than did their counterparts on standard or no medication.
The problem is that the FDA is under increasing pressure all the time to fast-track new treatments and get them to market quickly.
Why fast tracking causes problems
Currently the FDA is approving treatments faster than any other regulatory body in the world.
Once widely assailed for moving slowly, today the FDA reviews and approves drugs faster than any other regulatory agency in the world. Between 2011 and 2015, the FDA reviewed new applications more than 60 days faster on average than did the European Medicines Agency.
The problem is that this fast tracking is shortcutting the process of determining whether a treatment is actually safe and effective…
…or if it’s dangerous.
Faster reviews mean that the FDA often approves drugs despite limited information. It channels more and more experimental treatments, including Nuplazid, into expedited reviews that require only one clinical trial to show a benefit to patients, instead of the traditional two.
And they don’t actually know whether or not the “treatments” do what they’re supposed to do from a holistic perspective.
That’s because they are simply measuring what are called “proxy measurements” instead of actual cures and survival rates.
The FDA also increasingly allows drugmakers to claim success in trials based on proxy measurements — such as shrunken tumors — instead of clinical outcomes like survival rates or cures, which take more time to evaluate.
This is a massive problem.
Because it means you don’t really know if new treatments are effective or if they’re safe.
If they aren’t effective, you’ll end up losing a lot of money on tablets that don’t work.
If they aren’t safe, you could end up with major side effects or even lose your life.
Avoid brand-new treatments if possible
In many cases, if you need to be on a pharmaceutical, there are proven ones on the market.
I like to look for prescriptions that are at least 10 years old.
That way you know for sure what the side effects are going to be.
Of course, I’m not a doctor and I can’t give you medical advice.
But I can tell you to be careful with brand new to the market Big Pharma products.
They aren’t always what they’re cracked up to be.
You can’t just assume that new “treatments” are safe in the current environment.
This is a HUGE case of buyer beware.
—-Important Message—-
Heads up: are you taking any of these 5 treatments?
Here’s a list of 5 very common and popular Big Pharma treatments many men are taking…
…with huge warnings for each one that you probably will never hear from your doctor!
I’ve found evidence that these 5 “treatments” are causing strokes, cancer, total loss of rockiness, and more.
Please check this list to see if you’re taking one of these — and at the end, find my natural recommendation instead (it’s super easy and you’ll probably like it)
