How gut inflammation lowers your testosterone

There is a mystery that we are going to solve together today.

Here are the facts of the case.

We ate some bad foods.

And we ate them again and again and again and again and again.

Our testosterone level fell.

Our erections became soft and poor.

But how did it happen?

Who committed the crime of lowering our testosterone level?

Like any crime, this one has involved intense investigation.

And there is resistance to the results of the investigation.

But resistance does not change the facts.

And here is what happened.

We ate many meals that were high in fats, especially bad fats –polyunsaturated fatty acids, PUFAs.

Those high-fat, high PUFA meals caused an increase in what is called tumor necrosis factor alpha, TNF-alpha.

TNF-alpha is what our body uses to fight off tumors.

The body uses it as a treatment for heavy-duty and chronic inflammation.

When you eat a high-fat, high PUFA diet, it is a signal to the body to increase TNF-alpha.

In this study, when men ate high-fat meals, it drove their tumor necrosis factor-Alpha through the roof.

The high-fat meal increased the plasma levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α).

Now let’s back up for a moment.

When our testicles detect this TNF-Alpha, they stop making testosterone.

TNFα was shown to inhibit testosterone secretion.

So now we know how bad diet can lower testosterone levels.

Bad diet causes chronic gut inflammation that releases TNF-alpha.

The TNF-alpha causes our testicles to stop producing testosterone.

This is yet another reason why the current fad for high-fat low-carb diets is so tragic and misguided.

And it is also a really good reason to focus on your gut.

Because your gut may be causing you to have low testosterone and a poor sex life.

And men with low testosterone often have many other health problems.

The secret to fixing testosterone and health problems often lays in finding a gut cure.

Eat better foods with a focus on eating a diet that is low in fats.

Focus on reducing fats, particularly polyunsaturated fats.

And eat a diet high in carbs and good protein.

There you have it.

Mystery solved.

Now we can easily see what is creating low testosterone in our bodies and poor health.
