Forget flu shots? This simple discovery may prevent flu

The flu is a very uncomfortable illness.

I just got over the flu, and I had a fever of about 102° on and off.

I was very achy and uncomfortable for five days.

After a few more days I was completely better, but it was an uncomfortable time.

And if I wasn’t generally very healthy, then I think it might’ve been more serious.

As you may know, in my mind the flu shot is not helpful for older people at all.

It does not build immunity, and it often makes people sick.

It’s just not how to protect yourself against the flu.

The record for flu shots is very poor.

And I think it is a bad idea to get them for most people unless you are very young.

That’s why I think the study is quite interesting.

They found a natural hormone that can help you recover from the flu quicker.

AND it may even prevent the flu!

The study focused on women because it uses progesterone which is supposedly a hormone for women.

But as we’ve discussed before, men need progesterone, too.

Just like women need the supposedly male hormone testosterone.

The study was done on mice, but these kinds of studies should translate to people quite well.

When they inoculated these mice with the flu, they used two groups.

One group had low progesterone, and the other group had normal progesterone.

They found that the normal progesterone group had a much higher survival rate:

There are two ways of getting extra progesterone that may help prevent the flu and may make the symptoms better.

One way is to take it as a supplement.

You can take some progesterone drops or progesterone and vitamin E, which is available over-the-counter.

Another way is to take some pregnenolone which is also available over-the-counter.

Pregnenolone turns into progesterone in the male body.

Even just 20 mg or so may be enough for a significantly improved resistance to the flu.

And you may want to look into these ways to get more progesterone because of the study results.

The progesterone was found to improve recovery, shorten the time sick, and prevent the disease from progressing to death.

It’s a serious and important discovery!

Apparently, progesterone works by increasing something called AREG, which fights inflammation.

AREG is amphiregulin, a protein that works to regulate several genes in the body.

And it’s the same for men as it is in women.

Promoting AREG promotes recovery from the flu.

It’s a good reason to discuss taking pregnenolone or progesterone with your doctor, although in small amounts.
