Washington University School of Medicine reveals that this simple drink can be a substitute for exercise

Professor Clay Semenkovich of the Washington University School of Medicine recently conducted a series of pioneering experiments…

…to explore how restoring metabolism lengthens life.

“The muscles burn more calories,” he reported.

But more than this, Dr. Semenkovich found that animals with a restored metabolism “delayed death and diseases, including atherosclerosis, diabetes, hypertension and even cancer.”

And this professor also found something extraordinary about exercise…

Restoring metabolism this way “may be a substitute for exercise.”

And that’s what I have found in my life.

Just being active, walking around and having fun, my muscles are starting to bulk up and I’m losing fat… And it’s all thanks to this metabolic shake that restores metabolism.

I diligently searched for the safest, most natural ingredients that restore metabolism. And after years of testing ,I have the perfected formula.

Here’s how you can raise your metabolism at home, for cheap

Sniff this next time your stomach hurts

You may already know that I’m not a big fan of Big Pharma, because they often prescribe medications that don’t treat underlying conditions and only mask symptoms.

Even worse, sometimes these medications can even cause harm – especially when taken over the long term.

But even short-term meds I’m pretty much always skeptical about.

Don’t get me wrong…

Sometimes I take Big Pharma products, but I always try to make sure I know what I’m taking and why.

My skepticism is why I’m always enthusiastic about interventions that don’t require Big Pharma medications but are actually effective.

And here is a really unique way you can treat nausea – at home.

Although I’m in really good health and don’t get sick very often – I sometimes succumb to a stomach bug or eat something bad and feel incredibly nauseous.

So, it’s good to have a solution.

Sniffing alcohol worked better on nausea than the popular drug Zofran.

Lots of people go to the emergency room every year because of severe nausea symptoms.

Typically, they give Zofran – which is supposed to help with symptoms of nausea.

And it does…sort of.

Zofran is standard in most ERs in America right now for nausea patients.

[cmamad id=”19542″ align=”center” tabid=”display-desktop” mobid=”display-desktop” stg=””]

You probably don’t have Zofran at home. You probably use Pepto Bismol or Tums or Gravol.

But I think it’s a good idea to know about this Zofran alternative.

For quite some time, doctors have been using pads soaked in rubbing alcohol – chemotherapy patients sniff (not ingest) them to reduce their nausea symptoms.

These scientists wondered if this would work in a broader setting.

So they designed a test to see if it could be used for people who come into the ER with nausea.

“Researchers randomized 120 patients with nausea to use either a sniffed alcohol pad and oral Zofran, alcohol and an oral placebo, or Zofran and sniffed saline solution.”

I’m always fascinated when a “gold standard” drug treatment performs more poorly than a simple home remedy.

And that’s exactly what happened in this study.

The Zofran was so much less effective than sniffing the alcohol pad that it’s almost laughable.

“Before treatment, patients averaged about 50 of a 100-millimeter visual scale of nausea severity, with 100 being the worst. The average decrease half hour after treatment was 30 mm for those who smelled alcohol and took Zofran, 32 mm for alcohol and an oral placebo, and 9 mm for those who took Zofran and sniffed a placebo.”

As you can see here, sniffing the alcohol worked better than sniffing alcohol along with taking Zofran.

And it worked far better than taking Zofran alone.

Now, this was a small study and it should be duplicated for complete confidence in the results.

But the next time you have a upset stomach, you could try it: Just soak a cotton ball in isopropyl alcohol and sniff it.

It will probably relieve your symptoms, at least somewhat, with practically no risk.

Just don’t swallow the rubbing alcohol, because it’s poisonous if taken internally.

Trying an alternative solution like this can be tough to do in today’s culture – because we are so conditioned by commercials to feel that pills are always the answer to everything.

I’m honestly surprised this study even got research dollars.

The doctor who did this study is one of the good guys…looking for solutions that have minimal side effects and low cost.

Prescription medicine is not always the answer… There are simple, safe ways to deal with symptoms that are causing discomfort – is a powerful message for people to appreciate.”

This alcohol-sniffing solution is really novel, and it may improve the care that patients receive in ERs.

But the biggest challenge of finding more solutions like this one is funding.

Big Pharma companies fund studies because they make a lot of money on the drugs they sell.

Which is why they push them so hard.

There is probably not a lot of money to be made in pads soaked in isopropyl alcohol.

You really have to dig for this kind of research.

But it’s so worth it when you find a remedy that will work, without having to take a Big Pharma product. It’s kind of like hitting a gold mine!

Are you curious about other remedies that work, without having to take a Big Pharma product?
