Well, it turns out that a bad marriage relationship is one cause of a condition known as leaky gut.

You’ve seen my writings about leaky gut before.

Leaky gut is when your body releases toxins that are supposed to be contained in your stomach – into your bloodstream.

“With leaky gut, the structures that are usually really good at keeping the gunk in our gut – partially digested food, bacteria, and other products – degrade and that barrier becomes less effective…”

The big problem with leaky gut is that those bacteria that get released end up driving overall internal inflammation – which is a huge contributor to most chronic diseases.

These include things like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and more.

Inflammation can even cause problems with healthy penile function.

Hostile behavior is specifically categorized as things like eye rolls and criticism of your partner.

They categorized their verbal and non-verbal fighting behaviors, with special interest in hostility – things such as dramatic eye rolls or criticism of one’s partner.”

And for people with histories of mood disorders, marriage hostility was particularly damaging.

“Evidence of leaky gut was even greater in study participants who had particularly hostile interactions with their spouse and a history of depression or another mood disorder.”

Hostile fighting causes a release of LPS binding protein, which causes leaky gut.

But bonding behaviors can release a different chemical that can heal the body while it reduces hostilities.

To stop the fighting, increase physical contact…

It’s a pretty good idea to reduce internal inflammation as much as possible, since it’s related to so many chronic health problems – including erection problems.

That means you must reduce hostility in your intimate relationships.
