Does internal inflammation cause diabetes? If so, how?

This study says that inflammation in the body, and obesity, and diabetes, might have a common cause.

That common cause is inflammation. Internal inflammation. Chronic inflammation.

The article has two different ideas as to how inflammation may lead to diabetes.

Matt Cook’s remarks:

I believe it’s been clear for about five years that internal chronic inflammation is responsible for diabetes. There are over 100 studies that say this.

And also, most probably, the same CAUSE of diabetes also causes prostate inflammation, high blood pressure, and even heart disease.

There are numerous studies pointing to internal inflammation as the culprit.
