A lot of times guys make their erection problems WAY worse than they need to be.

It’s not anyone’s fault.

It’s just that our culture doesn’t do a very good job of teaching us how our brains work and how that is connected to EVERYTHING else we experience.

If you hang out in yoga and meditation circles, you might realize it all seems to come down to something called “attention.”

But you don’t have to be a yogi to understand and benefit from the principle of attention.

Science now knows that attention is something we need to pay attention to.

It can have HUGE health benefits.

Where you direct your attention reinforces whatever emotional state you are in. It even reinforces physical symptoms.

In Western thought, the mind and body are separate things.

That’s a bunch of hooey and I’ll show you why.

Let’s look at a study that shows how babies end up with anxiety.

Then I’ll come back to how attention influences erections.


This fascinating paper shows how moms who focus more on threats and their environment influence their babies to focus more on threats and their environment.

Creating more anxiety for both baby and mother.

This seems to come down to focus. Or attention.

If you focus on something that’s not working, you make it WORSE.

Where we direct our attention as human beings amplifies the effect of the thing we’re giving our attention to…

And to make matters worse, this seems to be something is hardwired into our human brains.

When we go through a stretch of bad luck or some really negative circumstances, our brains often get stuck focusing on negatives and threats.

That brings us back to how attention affects erections.

Even though this negative focus seems to be our default mechanism when we’re facing a bunch of bad stuff, we CAN choose a different path.

But it does require focus.

When men’s erections start to become less reliable, men start focusing on that.

Which creates a vicious cycle of massive anxiety, making the problem worse.

By consciously choosing to focus on something other than the threat – in this case not being able to get hard – we can start to change the way our brain is actually wired.

How do we know when this is happening?

As the situation gets worse, anxiety gets higher, the threat seems greater, and we give it even more attention (focus).

This is a super-negative cycle that’s as destructive to your sex life as a whirling tornado.

The key to fixing this is diverting your attention when you find yourself focused on problem erections.

One thing that we talk a lot about in our courses is to focus on the root instead. (The root is the part of your penis that’s inside your body.)

This is fairly easy to accomplish with some practice, but it does take a bit of practice.

Another thing to focus your attention on is your breathing.

When you find yourself worrying about your erections, bring your focus to your breathing – feel your breaths going in and out.

Feel the sensation of your breaths as they move into your body and out of your body.

By learning to switch your focus from worrying about your erection to either your breathing or your root, you can start to break the debilitating cycle of worry and anxiety that build and builds.

I know it seems a little woo-woo. But when it comes to erections, where you put your attention really matters.

It’s not about it being “all in your head.”

It’s about undoing the neurological pathways you’ve created with worry and stress.

Worrying is built into our nature as humans.

But we can break the cycle by deliberately changing where we focus our attention.
