Can gelatin help type 2 diabetes?

This is a pretty interesting study. Let’s talk about the basics first.

Glycine is one of the 20 amino acids. But in this study, it’s given alone, by itself, rather than combined into these complex proteins the way we normally eat glycine.

I compare it to sodium chloride, which is table salt.

Sodium and chlorine are each very toxic by themselves, but combined, they are very useful as table salt. We can’t live without salt.

In this case, it’s the other way around. We normally eat glycine combined with other proteins. But they gave “just” the glycine almost as a medicine to diabetics.

The study consisted of their giving them some glycine powder to type 2 diabetics every day. And there observing what happens.

Results are outstanding

: Treatment with glycine is likely to have a beneficial effect on innate and adaptive immune responses and may help prevent tissue damage caused by chronic inflammation in patients with Type 2 diabetes.

During the time they’re getting glycine, some of their diabetes markers improved. Such as A1c. And you really want your A1c to be as low as possible.

In this study, glycine lowered A1c quite a bit.

And they measured some other signs of inflammation, and found that inflammation dropped.

Which is good, because inflammation is always bad in diabetics.

How to use this information

Ordinary gelatin is high in glycine.

Also, broth that you make it home, from turkey bones, or beef bones, or chicken or lamb barns, is very high in glycine.

So you can make broth from bones, and drink some everyday.

Or you can buy gelatin and dissolve in water and drink it every day.

And you can see what happens to your A1c and your inflammation.

Some people react poorly to gelatin, although most people tolerate it quite well.

Is Gelatin good for diabetes?

Men with diabetes have chronic inflammation in their bodies. One of the proven ways of lowering the inflammation is an amino acid called glycine. Gelatin or college and is very hind glycine. Glycine is found in connective tissues of any animal such as organ meats, tendons, and bone. We don’t eat that part of the animal anymore so most of us get far too much muscle meat and not enough connective tissue. We can use gelatin to balance out the muscle meat we are eating and to help our diabetic symptoms. Glycine can actually improve the production of insulin if you’re beta cells are not producing enough.

Does gelatin raise blood sugar?

Gelatin and collagen actually help the body use glucose more effectively. Gelatin and collagen are the same thing except collagen is more easily dissolved in cold water or milk or juice.Gelatin and collagen can actually fix higher blood sugar. They do not raise blood sugar as much as other proteins do. If you eat sugar with some gelatin or collagen, your body will clear the sugar faster and more efficiently than it will if you have the sugar without the college and or gelatin.Gelatin seems to increase the metabolism of fats in the body, and diabetic men have trouble with fat and sugar metabolism. Gelatin seems to lower blood pressure as well. And in rats that were being fed high amounts of sugar, gelatin help the rats attain normal blood pressure and more normal insulin and sugar levels in their blood. Gelatin seems very beneficial for diabetic men.

Is gelatin bad for you normally?

Gelatin is very healthy for you. Some people have some digestive issues that keep them from enjoying the benefits of gelatin but that is only a few percent. Almost everybody would benefit from eating more gelatin.Gelatin can help alleviate depression. It improves the nails and the skin. It can assist in improving the mobility of joints and lowering joint pain.Gelatin is very healthy for diabetic men. But it’s good for everybody. Because gelatin helps balance the amino acids that are found in muscle meat such as steak or hamburger. In the old days we would’ve eaten the entire animal including connective tissue, tendon, eyeballs and brains and all of that. Those organ meats  and connective tissue balance the imbalance proteins found in steak and hamburger. So if you eat gelatin with those hamburgers and stakes, you will balance out harmful levels of amino acids such as methionine and tryptophan and L-arginine there found in those and you will overall be healthier. Gelatin rather than being bad for you normally is actually very healthy.

Does gelatin help high blood pressure?

Gelatin helps lower blood pressure. In rats that had diets that were very deficient and very high in sugar, their blood pressure shot up a gelatin help their blood pressure become normal. Gelatin seems to help the metabolism of fats through what is called beta oxidation. This has the effect of relaxing the blood vessels and lowering blood pressure. Gelatin can also lower the production of free radicals. The effect of gelatin can be to lower blood pressure and help correct hypertension in men. Gelatin and its cousin college and may be the best thing you can do for your blood pressure.
